Then her actual journey starts towards love of Allah and His Prophet with a lot of hardships on her way. She tries her best to cut her ties with him because he is not a true Muslim and went to confess her love to Jalal and convinced him to tell his parents about the marriage which in the end didn’t happen. Immama also finds the way to eternal success. (What a douche bag) But she was already engaged to someone, her cousin Asjad. Along with that, Imama is a medical student, studying in Lahore and eventually she falls in love with one of her friend Zainab’s brother, Jalal Ansar. Her dad beats her because her dad is scared, his reputation would be ruined? All the funding, money came from Ahmadiya which Imama thought it was not a halal income/earning or something. She did not tell her family about it because if her dad gets to know he will for sure kill her which eventually happened, her dad got to know and beat the crap out of her that never have I ever encounter that kind of beating on a 17 years old girl. Later, she gets influenced by her friends and converts to Sunni Islam. Imama constantly avoided “Islamic” talk with her friends because their thinking of Islam and Imama’s was way different. Imama Hashim ( one of the main) is from an Ahmadiya family who believes there’s another Prophet when it was stated in the Qur’an that our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last prophet. It talks about how the guy protagonist changes his life into a real good man and while the girl protagonist, how she deals with her life with the help of the boy protagonist. Pir-e-Kamil goes from a bad extreme to a good extreme, like it gets somewhat unbelievable because of the protagonists.

So this story talks about something touchy, something about a real, true muslimah that believes Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last prophet. Destiny maneuvers their lives to cross each other’s paths, until Salaar falls in love with Imama after facing a horrifying experience that totally changes the course of his life. Both are poles apart in terms of spiritual awakening. Summary: Pir-e-Kamil (English: The Perfect Mentor) is a story focusing on a deviational sect which violates the finality of our Prophet (P.B.U.H) meanwhile, narrating a heart wrenching journey of two unhappy souls Salaar Sikandar, a genius with an outstanding I.Q who has complicated queries about life and Imama Hashim, an ordinary girl with a stable family. But today, I am going to share my view on this book, PIR E KAMIL ( The Perfect mentor).

I mean, I’ve only read 2 novels (another one is Amar Bail, check that out) of her and I love her writing style. Umera Ahmed, what can I say about her? She’s literally my favourite Pakistani author. Can we take a moment and appreciate this cover? It’s so unique.
