The contradiction in the book though is that, the cat willingly gives up its offspring and advises kittens how to give themselves up and leave their mother. The narrator's tone is soothing and entertaining. The cat who wrote this book is very full of herself, and being a cat who is also full of myself, why should I listen to her? Who does she think she is to tell me what to do? Since I'm a human though, I mostly enjoyed this book, perhaps more the narrator than the book itself. It is too much of, you should do this, you shouldn't do that, if you do that other thing then you should be condescended upon. I did just that with a self-help book that used this similar pedantic tone.

If I were a cat, as this book's audience is intended to be, I would have put down this book in 30 minutes.
